DiscountAdCoupons Assumptions can cost you
When you make incorrect assumptions about your customers it can cost you. Don't jump to conclusions about what your customer can afford. If you sell face to face, never allow your prospect's clothing, language skills or the car you see him or her driving dictate the price range of the product you will promote. Many well to do customers are very low key about their wealth. There is a book out called "Secrets of the blue jeans millionaire" by T.J. Rohleder that chronicles many of today's wealthy who do not flaunt their ability to buy "top of the line". These consumers drive older cars, wear clothes that the typical person on the street might wear and will never tell you that they could buy not only your high end product, but your entire business, the storefront and the shopping mall it's located in if you gave just the right sales pitch.
If you sell a product that comes in many different models or perhaps you sell many different brands with a large range in prices, always start at or near the top of the line and work your way down in price if price is the objection. If budget is not a concern to your buyer, you are cheating yourself by selling low end product when you have a high end buyer. Don't make assumptions about how much your customer can pay for your product. Always promote your best and work your way down if necessary. |
